Email Improvements

I’ve been aware for some time now that not all of the emails coming from KLP Publishing have been getting through to their destination. This has been especially problematic for order confirmation emails, which are automatically generated by the system in response to a successful order. These messages are important, so this is a serious issue.

In an effort to address this issue and improve the reliability of our communications, I’ve started trialling a third-party email resolver that promises to reduce or eliminate these failures. Preliminary testing is encouraging, so I’m hopeful that most if not all of our email communications going forward will arrive successfully!

Just to clarify, upon making a successful order, you should receive an order confirmation email containing the download link(s) within a few minutes. It’s always worth checking your spam/junk folder, just in case it has ended up there (though I’m hoping that will be a thing of the past). If you don’t appear to have received it within about 30 minutes, then it’s likely that it has been blocked or rejected somewhere along the way—again, fingers-crossed that this won’t happen any more.

For this reason, I encourage everybody to create an account when making a purchase for the first time, and to ensure to log in to that account when making subsequent purchases. This makes any book you purchase available to download at any time from the Downloads section of your profile, irrespective of whether or not you received the order confirmation email. This recommendation will remain in effect even should those issues now be resolved.

As ever, if you find that you haven’t received your order confirmation email (or any other communication), please contact me and we’ll sort it out.

And thanks as always for your collective patience, understanding, and support!
