SKU: BSS01 Category:

Written by master modeller Eric Galliers, this 104-page digital book shows you how he built his award-winning 1/32 scale model of K.J. “Brick” Bricknell’s CAC Sabre. Using the Italeri 1/32 scale F-86F kit as a basis, Eric modifies it to the Avon-powered configuration employed by CAC-built RAAF Sabres, to produce an exquisite replica of Brick’s Sabre as he flew it in 1963.

The book also includes anecdotes from Brick himself, from his time flying the CAC Sabre with the RAAF, along with 37 walkaround photos of the real thing, taken by Mark Jessop and Peter Chrismas, of Aviation Spotters Online.

The only thing that can be said about Kevin’s first venture into E-books on scale model aircraft is its is the best thing that has been done on the subject both scale model wise and historic perspective, just go and buy this book, you will be sorry if you don’t.

  2. Rated 5 out of 5

A very professionally done E-book that provides not only a step by step build by the talented Eric Galliers, but with also a walk-around of the CAC Sabre and the very entertaining remarks by the former pilot of the aircraft Eric depicts. Definitely a book to have by anyone interested in modeling the type, in any scale.
