“Building the Kitty Hawk T-6/Harvard in 1/32 Scale” Now Available!

I’m pleased to announce that our latest eBook title, Building the Kitty Hawk T-6/Harvard in 1/32 Scale, is now available for immediate purchase and download!

In this 209-page eBook, Kevin Futter and Chuck Sawyer tackle the Kitty Hawk Texan/Harvard kit in 1/32 scale. The first build is an out-of-box build using no aftermarket parts and as few modifications to the basic kit as possible. The model is also finished using the kit decals. This build is designed to illustrate what can be achieved using only the kit parts, and highlight any problems with the kit itself.

In the second build, Chuck Sawyer addresses many of the kit’s shortcomings, using a modicum of aftermarket parts and some scratch-building to enhance the accuracy, detail, and realism of the resulting model.

We’ve also included a brief tutorial on applying Archer decal rivets, which should be useful for any similar products—along with our usual Appendices covering aftermarket products and reference material.

And as with all our books, should more aftermarket products or reference titles be released, or we discover errors that need correcting, we will update the book accordingly. Anyone who purchased the pre-update version gets lifetime free access to all subsequent updated versions! All new purchasers will of course receive the updated version automatically.

Announcing “Building the Kitty Hawk T-6/Harvard in 1/32 Scale”!

I’m pleased to announce that the next title in our Build Guide Series will be Building the Kitty Hawk T-6/Harvard in 1/32 Scale, by Chuck Sawyer, along with a second build by yours truly.

The book will feature two builds, the first being my own out-of-box build to show how the kit goes together without resorting to any modifications or aftermarket products. The second, flagship build of the title will be Chuck Sawyer’s typically forensic examination of the kit, with many refinements and corrections to the kit parts, including relocating the main landing gear to a more accurate position.

Chuck Sawyer’s build of the Kitty Hawk T-6 as a Canadian Harvard.

In other news, Building the Hasegawa/Alley Cat Ki-100 in 1/32 Scale by Harvey Low has been delayed slightly while we await the final piece of the puzzle. It has also been re-framed as the second title in our Build Article Series. With any luck, it should see the light of day around the end of the month.

Stay tuned for more news and information as it comes to hand!
