“Building NATO’s LanceR in 1/48 Scale” Now Available!

I’m pleased to announce that our latest title, Building NATO’s LanceR in 1/48 Scale: Eduard’s MiG-21MF in Romanian Service, is now available!

In this 243-page eBook, expert modeller Chuck “chukw” Wojtkiewicz builds the Eduard 1/48 MiG-21 kit, converting it into a Romanian MiG-21MF LanceR using an aftermarket set from Icaerodesign, and a range of other upgrade parts. He also shows you how he scratch-built an ejection seat maintenance dolly to pose alongside the finished model. Chuck’s build is full of useful hints and tips, not only for building the Eduard MiG-21 kit, but improving your modelling generally.

Chuck is a renowned artist and illustrator, so along with his tremendous build, we’ve also included some of the artwork he adds to his build commentaries that make them so unique and entertaining to follow. Kapitan Andreea will be accompanying you on your journey!

The book is available now for immediate purchase and download from our website for just 16 Australian dollars!

And as with all our books, should any updates be required, anyone who purchased a prior version gets lifetime free access to all subsequent updated versions! All new purchasers will of course receive the updated version automatically.

Status Update on “Building NATO’s LanceR”

When I first announced our next title, Building NATO’s LanceR in 1/48 Scale by Chuck Wojtkiewicz, I was pretty certain I’d be able to complete the first draft by the end of March. Well, clearly I’ve failed! Life has deigned to intervene and throw a few distractions and stumbling blocks in my general direction. But never fear! The project continues to receive daily attention, and is developing quite nicely with more than 150 pages done. With luck, we’ll be looking good for the end of April! Stay tuned for more updates.

In the meantime, don’t forget to take advantage of our current 6th Anniversary Sale, wherein you can receive 20% off the value of your cart by using the coupon code 6YEARS at checkout.

v2.0 of “Building Race #80 Spitfire Mk XIVe in 1/18 Scale” Now Available!

Another day, another book update! This time it’s Peter Castle’s masterpiece, Building Race #80 Spitfire Mk XIVe in 1/18 Scale getting a full v2.0 refresh. I’ve tweaked almost every one of its (now) 573 pages, and am ready for a nap. The changes are mostly typography and layout improvements, so there’s no additional content, but I’d recommend all existing purchasers update their copy all the same.

v2.0 of “Building Mac’s Birddog” Now Available!

I’m pleased to announce that a newly-revised and extended v2.0 of Building Mac’s Birddog in 1/32 Scale: A Scale Tribute to Macaulay “Mac” Cottrell is now available!

This book is one of our oldest, being the second title we published, way back in 2017. We felt it was time to freshen it up a bit. The layout has been fully audited, and many pages have been completely revised to bring them in line with our more recent publications.

And as some of you may be aware, on 26 January this year, Mac was the deserved recipient of an OAM (Medal of the Order of Australia), as part of the Governor General’s Australia Day honours. We’ve included this latest update to Mac’s storied career in the book, including a full transcript of the award text.

Congratulations, Mac!

As a result of these changes, the book’s page count has increased by 16 to 177, but the price remains at a bargain 15 Australian dollars.

Written by master modeller Eric Galliers, this 177-page digital book shows you how he built his award-winning 1/32 scale model of Macaulay “Mac the FAC” Cottrell’s Cessna O-1 Birddog. Using the Roden 1/32 scale kit as a basis, Eric modifies it to represent Mac’s Birddog as he flew it in Vietnam in 1968.

The book also includes Mac’s recollections of his 47 years in the RAAF, along with his citations for the Silver Star and DFC for an action in Vietnam. We’ve also included an exclusive 53-page walkaround, featuring a whopping 95 photos by Rob Fox of Rob Fox Photography.

Existing purchasers are able to access the updated version for free. Simply log in to your account (or use your original download link) and re-download the book from the Downloads section of your profile. If you don’t have an account or the original download link, please contact me and we’ll sort it out. And of course, new purchasers will always receive the latest version.

Stay tuned for more news and updates as they come to hand.
